
Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (born July 9 1956) is an American actor and film maker. He is well-known for his comedic and dramatic role. He is an American famous cultural icon. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was the son of Janet Marylyn, a hospital worker, as well as Amos Mefford Hanks (an itinerant chef). His mother was named "Fraga" while his father was mostly English. Tom was raised in a family he calls "fractured". He had no experience acting in college, and credits his inability be cast in a college production with starting his career. He went to downtown and tried to audition for a local stage production. He was then invited by the director of the play to Cleveland and from there, the beginning of his acting career took off.
